Who is the best defenseman in the league?
If you were GM of a team and that defenseman were a Free Agent, what kind of contract would you be willing to offer him to play for you?

I would like to have Green, and Burns.
I would sign Green to a 5 years contact for 4 mil. a year. I dont care if its overpaiding him this guy is amazing.

He is very good, but in terms of defense, I'd say he's far from the best. My pick would probably be Lidstrom, who's always been solid and still is, very much so. I've always liked Gonchar a lot too.

lidstrom is getting old though. i would take Phaneuf, the power defencemen! ...also the guy that could kill a civilian in the blink of an eye That's another good pick. I think Kaberle and Markov are extrememly solid too, and you can't go wrong with a guy like Scott Neidermayer. |

I hate Scott. For what he did this year by not playing till half way throw the season. Yes Kaberle and Markov will be nice on the same hockey team.

i think he will get traded He was heading to Philly at the deadline if it weren't for his No Trade Clause. They had the deal done and everything, but he wouldn't leave. |
