Yeah. And really, it doesn't bother me at all what the players' nationalities are, as long as they're good and they help the team. I couldn't care less if the team was all French or all Russian, as long as they keep winning, that's fine by me.

yeah, me neither, but i like a canadian team, but i wouldn't be pissed if murray decided to trade all of the canadian players for europeans on ottawa

Who was out in the first round...
I know what you mean, though, but you assumption that Canadians brings teams to the finals is wrong, in my opinion. That's one of the stereotypes I hate the most in hockey, that European players don't care. Not true. Some don't, but then again, some North Americans don't either.
Look at Detroit. Awesome year after year, and they're built mostly from Europeans.

yeah, but look at a the past stanley cup finalists, tampa bay, alot of canadians, carolina, well they had cam ward, who was a canadian rookie when they won the cup, he definetly carried the taem through-out that post season, but i don't mean to steriotype, but the north-americans, CANADIANS in general are more determined to win the cup,im not saying that the europeans don't care, but for north-american hockey players, it's been mostlya lifelong dream for them to win the cup

You're right, I just don't like the way you stated it. That Canadians carry the team? Maybe they want it more, but a lot of Europeans still give it their all and help out the team as much as the North Americans.

Probably.
Markov is going to play for Russia, Koivu for Finland, and Plekanec for Slovakia.
Oh, and the Kostitsyn's and Grabovski are playing for Belarus, so lots of Habs in the tournament this year.

They played today against the States and won 5-4, Heatley got two goals including the game-winner with 47 seconds left in the game, so Canada is still undefeated. Brent Burns, Jonathan Toews and Derek Roy also scored for Canada.
Next games to be announced once this round is over.
