The Atlanta/Chicago thing this year really reminds me of Montreal/Hamilton last year.
I know I think too much, but check it out.
In 2006, Montreal went into the playoffs against Carolina and went out fast, in the first round. The next year, Montreal didn't make the playoffs, but Hamilton won the Calder Cup.
Last year, Atlanta got swept in the first round, and this year, they didn't make the playoffs and Chicago won the Calder Cup.
Maybe Atlanta will finish first in the East next year? Heh!
