any recent NHL injurys that you've heared of?
post them here:
i have 2 injurys i can remember right now:
Sergei Gonchar: He got injured in a pre-season game, a really bad shoulder injury, he's expected to be out at least 6 months, and is not expected to play this year.
Daniel Alfredsson: He's undergoing surgery today(Friday the 10th of October) on his knee and is expected to be out for two weeks...but if you think two weeks isn't alot...just remember what happened to ottawa last year when Alfredsson was out...*sigh*...

Georges Laraque and his 'undisclosed' injury.
We'll see.

I'll tack on that Higgins and Bouillon are out, not sure what it is. They're all pretty short-term I think.

Sucks for the Sens capt. Aldredsson to be out again this season.
This ain't so good for the team. Downhill is the direction the team is expected to go with his absence (probably 3 weeks to remove a bone chip in his knee)
Chelios has a broken foot.
Warrener a shoulder injury.
Mahlotra injured too.
Gaustad has a thumb with a torn ligament.
Torres has a separated shoulder.
Higgins was noticeably absent last night in Buffalo.
Walker has a hand injury.
SO the list is growing.
Ya think the dorks who came up with the idea of having teams playing a half dozen pre season games in less than 2 weeks makes any sense.
Are the players machines or human ?

yeah exactly...i accually want him to take his time, cuz i don't want a repeat of last year:
getting injured at the end of the season where the sens are fighting for a play-off spot

Alfredsson is back.
Andrei Kostitsyn got his head plastered against the boards last night, looks like he might have a concussion, it hasn't been disclosed.

This was put up just a couple of minutes ago on sympatico about Andrei Kostitsyn. It's in french though, so I'll be searching for an english version.
for anyone that can read french ;
It pretty much just indicates that nothing serious happened to him, and that we shouldn't be surprised to see him play next saturday against Anaheim. It also talks a bit about Higgins & Bouillon who will most probably be playing tomorrow night since they feel ready.

Holy ****! Hey! Haven't seen you in a while, nice to see you here! ^^
And that's definitely good news. I'm going to be at that game against Anaheim, I wouldn't want my favorite player to be missing.
As for Higgins and Bouillon, more depth to a team that's already rocking isn't something I'll complain about.

lol, hey. it's nice to be back here =P
Lucky you. You get to go assist the game. =O And it definitley will be a good thing if he plays again. I'm started to think tomorrow's game will be a real mess for the Kovalev - Plekanec line. I'm guessing Carbo'll put Higgins with them, that way he doesn't bother all the other lines. but even so, I have big doubts that the line would be as great with Higgins as it would be with Andrei. We'll just have to wait ...
