i was Russia not Finland, i remember coming home for school and watching the ending. Ah, you're right. Spices things up for next year even more.

Finland eliminated us in 2006 I believe. Also Russia's starting goalie could be any of Nabakov, Khabibulin, Bryzgalov, etc... Oh yeah, I forgot about Khabibulin. Nabokov is from Kazakhstan. Does he have some kind of dual citizenship or something?

Nabokov is from Kazakhstan but he played his minor hockey in Russia. So thats why he plays for Russia. The only way I knew that is because they said it on the NHL 09 game. lol They are going to have some good goalies to pick from.

The rule, though, is that once you play for a National team, you always play for that team in any international competition, to stop players from switching countries as their teams get better/worse.

Ok, So Varlamov won't be goalie at 2010, gotcha But you know what I meant, both teams are going to be stronger and 2010 will probably be a more even match. ...that is of course if they both make it to the gold medal game.
