Oh yeah! I forgot about Komisarek.
I didn't think Gaborik was overpayed, unless he doesn't play a full season his contract is worth it. But yeah Komisarek is no. 1.
The only reason I said Cammalleri is because I didn't really find anyone else's contract really changed from last year. Cammalleri's doubled. Sedin twins also, but the have at least 160 points between them a season and in the past 4 seasons they've only missed 1 game between them.

lol.
I have a new respect for him. Although I am very skeptical about his laziness, he can contribute to the secondary scoring, which is exactly what the Senators need. Most of the interviews say that Kovalev isn't looking to be on the top line and he's not looking to replace Heatley, in fact he wants to play with him.
Also, I think Kovalev will be more productive as a Sen. The Sens play a very offensive style of play, I think it will fit Kovalev more than the defensive system he was playing in Montreal. But I'm not expecting alot from him, I'm just expecting more.
I don't even want to get into the contract. Unless he can get at least 70 points in both seasons, I won't complain. But that could be saying alot.

Anyway, 5 mil is too much for Kovalev, and I didn't really want him back that much anyway. Especially not at that price. He's such a frustrating player. Never passes and creates more turnovers than Spezza. He is dangerous on the powerplay though.

You don't have to be on the same line with a person to be playing with them. I doubt they will play the same power play unit also, they both take the same wing. He said that he doesn't care which line he plays he just wants to win a Stanley Cup and do his best to make that possible in Ottawa.
