They definitely should, because it was their downfall this season...

Oh i totally agree, but ottawa could just as easily blame it on injuries. Top notch goalies are hard to come by so it's tough to trade for one.

Yeah, but all their good players except Fisher were there in the playoffs and they still got swept, so they can't blame that on injuries.

yeah, but alfredsson only played two of the 4 games in the play-offs. Fisher had a crap season, 20some goals and about 30 assists(i don't feel like checking) seems like a alright season, but not for fisher. it was definetly not his best season, especially since he went through a 20 game goal draught. so fisher wasn't a huge loss in the play-offs, or maybe he was the missing link in the sens huge play-off failure.

Actually, Fisher had 23 goals and 24 assists for a total of 47 points, and that's the second highest total of his career, after last year's career-high 48 points. It was also the best season of his career for goals, just ahead of last year and the year before where he recorded 22 goals each.
So, it was one of the best seasons of his career...

yeah, but i could have been better, he did go 19 games without one goal, which is a long time for fisher

Yeah, but it was still pretty much the best season of his career, you can't blame him for Ottawa's season.

I don't see how you can consider that bad when it was his best season!!

second best, im not saying it was a bad season, it was just that he could have had like 34 goals and like 35 assists, but he didn't, because i don't think he played beyond his capabilities.

Maybe you're expecting too much from him, though?

Well I think you are.
It's just like two years ago when everyone in Montreal wanted to get rid of Bulis, for whatever reason.
I was like, why? He just had the best season of his career (20G-20A which is surprisingly good for him) and played really well.

i don't want to get rid of fisher, i like him alot, but he could have played alot better this year, despite it being on of his best seasons ever

I wasn't implying that you wanted to get rid of him, I was just comparing the over-expectations.
