Who, in your opinion, are the most underrated player and the most overrated player in the NHL?

Well personaly i find Elias is one of the overated ones.
Yes hes a captain, but for a well paid captain i dont find he does alot. Alot of people could bring up arguments against that. But its just a matter of oppinion. I dont doubt him being a good captain as far as motivating and getting his team pumped up.
As for the most underated players. I find there are alot of them.
Nittyamaki is a pretty good goalie. He comes up with pretty amazing saves when the time calls for it. But then again hes a backup goalie for a reason.
But there are many more by far underated players.

hmmm...this one's hard, i think that Sergei Gonchar is the most overrated player in the league, he gets lots of goals because of his good slapshot, he's really good a t the point, that's it, he's a really crappy defence, which reminds me, that chara is very overated too, but he's a alright defence. but very overrate, again his main trait is his fast slapshot.
the most underrated player in my opinion is Henrik Sedin from Vancover, he's awsome, he's a great playmaker and goal scorer, and he get's his twin, Daniel, alot of points too, from being on the same line, i don't know if he's underrated in the west, but out here in the east you barely hear of him.

Yeah, those are some good picks.
To me, the most overrated player in the league is Jason Spezza. I've been saying this for a while, and I uphold my opinion. Not that he's bad, but he's not as good as he's hyped up to be, in my opinion.
Underrated is tougher... Zach Parise comes to mind. Huselius is another one of my picks.

Yah parise and Huselius are pretty good picks.
Also for overated something you mentioned not to long ago Vince, Brad Richards is overated. Well he was in tampa. We will see how he does with his good team. But with tampa all he had to do was pass it to St. Louis or Lecavalier and he got a point.

Yeah, I forgot about him, he's one of my overrated ones, too.
Sheldon Souray is another one.

Yah i guess souray just had an outstanding with the canadiens. Maybe if he hadnt got injured. But he is deffinatly a deffensive defencemen at ALL. Which is to bad, because if he could combine is offensivity with a good defencive game he would have been really good.
Another under rated player is Radulov of nashville. He really good and shows alot of potential, he just doesnt play with the best team ever.

I agree with Radulov but i was just about to post Brad Richards as one of my most underrated. He is a a great playmaker who won the Conn Smythe for a reason. When everyone heard Lightning first two players you think of are Lecavillier and St. Louis, not Richards which i think Richards is the best fo the three. Look at his stats as a Star and the impact he made there. He has been a huge part of their playoff run.

Yeah, he's extremely talented. If only he would've used it all when he was at his peak, he might've been one of the best players in history. I think this might be the first year he's played to his full capabilities, but he's slowed down now so they're much more limited. He still played awesome this year though.

yeah, i cant see him playing as well as he did this year again, he'll probably play good, maybe great, but never as good as this year
