I think we are in for a somewhat violent game tonight.
T-shirts marketed in Philly:
Something about WE WANT VENGEANCE NOW!
I think it is going to be a physical game.
The 'botherly love' is TARGETED towards the two best players:
KOIVU & KOVALEV
The pace will be most probably apparent in the opening start of the first 10 min of the game....

Yeah, I agree. Should be a fast-paced, hard-hitting matchup tonight. I know Montreal can keep up with them; let's just hope they actually do it.
If they play like Saturday again, combined with a better performance from Price, I'm sure they'll come out with a win.

Well, good period for both teams, a little better for Montreal, but great period defensively for Philly.
3 posts by Montreal and another open net missed by Higgy...

Ok You must admit, Upshall really knows how to stick it. Although i cant watch the game i checked the score and i was pretty disapointed with the fact he scored. But oh well, im sure the habs can bring back their game in the third or later in the second.

I personally think the HABs are playing a good strong game. Flyers seemed almost asleep in the first period and only seemed to come awake after the 2nd goal.
Price is in slo mo.
or his field of vision is not open

@#$% **** *** @$$ $#1+!!!!!
I'm really frustrated right now. It pisses me off knowing full well that Montreal could be leading the series 3-0 right now.
First, their was Saturday, where Biron was awesome and Price sucked.
Then, tonight, where the Flyers in general sucked except on the PK in the first two periods and Price sucked. Montreal could've scored like 4 goals in the first, especially Kovalev's tip on the post and Higgins' fan on the wide open net and came out of it with nothing, Price was weak on the second AND third goal, and Biron was pretty good in the third.
God, it's so frustrating! I would be upset if Montreal deserved to lose right now, but they really don't! They're completely outplaying them!!! Argh!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!! ##% **$#
I hope they come out monstrously on Wednesday.

I just hope that by pulling Price out....won't shake/rattle his cage too much and have any affect on his self confidence ??
That is the problem with making a tough decision like that.
Not sayin' it was wrong to do so.....just a strategy that could be argued either way ?

man, i don't think that downey deservered that penalty, or the beating that he got when he "tripped Price", as much as i hate downie, his stick barly got tangled up in his skate, accually it was more of a little poke, but it looked more of a harmless accident, and downie knew that he was in trouble and tried getting out of there, lol, i found that funny

Yeah, I was thinking that too, but then I remembered that his confidence is already pretty shot right now anyway. I still think Carbo's going to start him next game. It's a tough decision, but it's probably what I would do.

they should do what boston did to kessle, sit him out a game or two, just to watch the game, and when kessle came back he got like 2 goals and an assist

Quoting what Koivu said in a recent interview:
(when he was asked what words of advice to give to Price)
"Forget it"
& " his skills & confidence haven't gone anywhere & you don't lose those things overnight"
"A game like tonight is tough for a goaltender. It is possible that he is emotionally tired. These are the NHL playoffs & everything is magnified.
I would tell him not to be too hard on himself, to just regroup, have fun & get back at it"

I agree with Saku. Price had a bad game, but I'm sure he'll come out strong tomorrow. Just like the rest of the team. I have a really good feeling about tomorrow's game.

Okay now that you had a very well deserved rant VD, i have one of my own.
Okay i am sick of watching these crap calls being made so that the game is more interesting. Or so a certain team wins. It's absolute bs and hockey is losing fans because of it. The refs were so one sided last night it was ridiculous. With the Flyers having a total of 29 PIMS called against while the Habs had only 8. Now i understand that 15 of the penalties minutes for Hatcher were well deserved on that hit. But where is the penalty on Bouillion for the late hit or the late hit by Plekanec that took out Umberger's leg way after the play.
Now to the play with Downie. Yes he took out Price's leg while getting to the puck. But A. Price dove Either that or he is one of the weakest skaters in NHL history. He purposefully jumped in the air and then made the right decision knowing he might not get the call and threw his helmet of his head to blow the play dead. Now i agree it should have been a penalty but if you watch the tapes, not one ref had his hand in the air for the call and the penalty was never called untill after the scrum happened. Because if not Montreal wouldn't have had a PP and the refs couldn't have that.
The call on kukkonen was also a **** call because he played the man after a dump in. Great PK stopped it from being a real problem.
Since when is there a full 2 min 5-3. The call on Downie was true but the call on kapanen was **** becuase his stick was being held.
But anyone good game Habs and good luck tonight.
Welcome back Nubes, let's kick some Canadien ass tonight!!!
