Edmonton, AB (Sports Network) - The Edmonton Oilers signed forward Ryan Potulny to a one-year contract on Saturday.
Potulny was dealt to Edmonton from Philadelphia on June 6 in exchange for defenseman Danny Syvret.
The University of Minnesota product arrived in the NHL late in the 2005-2006 season after averaging better than a point per game, and has recorded seven goals and 14 points in 44 total games over the last three seasons with the Flyers.
Philadelphia's third-round pick in the 2003 draft also racked up 68 goals and 118 points in 88 games with the Phantoms of the American Hockey League over the last two years.
