Since there's so much to talk about Sundin, here's a thread where you can discuss your opinions on what you'll think he'll do, why, etc. Everything to do with Sundin in here.

well, like it says on the habs offseason plans thread... nobody really know swhat sundin is up to,but whatever he's doing it's making the fans pissed. but there's alot he CAN do, there's Toronto, Vancover, the KHL, a Free Agent or even Retire(unlikely) but whatever he's planning on doing he better do it quick.

In response to Carson, there's more options than the Leafs and the Canucks in the NHL. Multiple teams have shown interest such as Montreal and the Rangers as well, and even Detroit up until a few days ago where they dropped out of the running for him because they were tired of waiting. He's got a ton of good options in the NHL. And not just because I'm a fan of them, but I think Montreal would be the best choice for him because of all the teams that are left open to him they're the biggest contenders. Well, the Rangers also but they don't have much room under the cap space so it wouldn't be a very big offer, meanwhile Montreal is rumored to have offered between 7 and 8 million a year for two years. Toronto is rumored about the same kind of offer and Vancouver, as we all know, more, but they don't have as competitive a team as New York or Montreal.

Gainey is still open to signing Sundin for now, but he's also not closed off to making trades with the few teams that are busting the cap so the offer to Sundin is for a limited time.

so in my opion havlat is not a good candidate for a team with not much cap space left, cuz if he's injured all the time, it's just gonna be a waste money

Well it is a gamble for sure, but if they can't get Sundin I think it'd be worth the risk. Might as well spend the money and hope he stays healthy than not spending it and getting nothing for sure.
