I'd be surprised now, with the limited salary cap opening. I'm thinking he's likely to go back to Toronto.

There you have it folks Sundin has FINALLY made a descision!!!
He's gone to Vancover. He's getting paid 7mil this year and 10 mil next year. This is a good deal, but there is ALOT of players on the 'Nuck's roster that will need a new contract at the end of this year, or else they will be free agents. The Sedin Twins for example. I dont know how much cap space is left, but Sundin's large contract might make it hard to re-sign some key players for nest year.

They might have a good run this year though, but competition in the West is fierce.

but like what Don Cherry said. Last year Toronto wanted him to move his no trade clause but he said no because he didn't want to be a rent player.but the funny part he is doing that this year.

well, not really, he has next year too.
And Vancover has been becoming one of my favorite teams. Maybe my favorite in the West right now. Even before they got Sundin. Once they get Luongo back they're gonna be a huge threat.

i agree with 100% Vancover is becoming into a great team. But I dont think they going to be able to pass San Jose. Detroit yes but Sharks no. With getting Luongo will be a great help, plus it gets then to send down there back up to help there farm team out.
but still Mats say what he wouldn't do, he did do. so next year teams are still going to wait 6 months to have out if he is going to be played for another year. And it can be long the next time around.

yeah, There's still San Jose. But I think they're going to be the best canadian team this year. In the season and play-offs.
