well, the pre-season officially started yesterday:
there were two different match-ups:
Tampa Bay @ Pittsburg:
The Bolts won in the shoot-out, the final score was 5-4 and Stamkos got a goal in his first NHL game...even though it was a pre-season game...and in the shoot-out...but he still scored...in a way.
New York Rangers @ Ottawa:
Ottawa won in regulation, the final score was 3-2. Spezza had a shortanded breakaway goal and Brandon Dubinski scored both of NYR's goals, one was a powerplay goal and the other one was a shorthanded breakaway goal. on total there was 21 penaties givin: 10 to Ottawa and 11 to New York

yup, nice to see ottawa won a game lol i'm happy tomorrow I get to watch hockey on my Bell center ice:)

its funny, cuz i was expecting the complete opposite outcomes, this year im expecting NYR and the Pens to be the top dogs of the east, thats why i found it funny that ottawa beat NYR and Tampa beat the Pens.

they didn't have any players from last year...oh yeah, and that Koivu and Kovalev were injured...they're probably not, but i was told that they were.

Wow, thats a big dent in thier big guns, could jepedize(i don't think i spelled that right) the first few season games...and if im not mistaken montreals playing some big teams in the first few.
