OK, the pool is underway and will be all set to go before the start of the season. The draft will be completed between now and 11:59 PM PT on Sunday, Oct 5.
There are six of us in the pool. Whoever wins the pool can have a special custom title under their username recognizing the victory. And of course, bragging rights.
Scoring
The scoring is extremely simple for this pool.
For forwards and defensemen:
Each goal, assist, and penalty minute acquired by the player will earn you one point. This allows you to have star players as well as goons on your roster, and both will help you in their own way, just like on an actual team.
Also, plus/minus will earn you points when a players' plus/minus increases, but lose you points when it drops.
For goalies:
Every win the goalie gets earns you a point. Every shutout earns you an additional 3 points.
Roster Spots
Your roster has a real NHL lineup: 4 centers, 4 left wings, 4 right wings, 6 defensemen, and 2 goalies. The players set in these positions on your roster will earn you points.
You also have 4 bench spots and 2 injury reserve spots.
Benched players that get points in their games will not count towards your total, so you need to manage your players effectively.
