He shot the puck in his own net when it was 3-2 Montreal on a delayed call in the last few minutes of the game.

A goal is always a good reason to celebrate but I guess in your own empty net is not so funny  O'Byrne's ear should either be buzzing or ringing today with all the chatter of his little gaffe around the water cooler talk today. Sure wasn't pretty ! |

i mean, he should have known that they had a delayed call, but it was an acciadent.

O'Byrne blames himself for costing his team a point & he does not blame the Montreal fans for venting out their frustration towards him.
His team were quick to come to his defence but he said he deserves all the booing he got for his mistake.
