This is making me really mad that the NHL needs to change big time.
NHL starts the season in October with me so far. Good. NBA starts the season one month after the NHL and the NBA and the NHL is in the 3rd round the playoffs. How the hell that happens. NBA plays even 2 night. Then you are watching the NHL then need 2 days off between the games.
What do you guys think

Ya its a big joke 2 days off between games is ridiculous, example: canes and pens played game 1 monday and they played game 2 tonight, dont understand y u need 2 days off between those 2 games. They didnt switch arenas, even brind amour thought it was stupid. Who ever decides this needs to wake up these players r being payed millions of dollars. No reason y they should get 2 days off between games. Probably has to do with bettman and all those useless people.

I just read something interesting concerning a rule change idea.
It concerns powerplays in the final moments of the game. They were talking about an optional penalty shot for teams in the final 2 minutes if the other team takes a penalty.
Think about it, there's 45 seconds left in the game, your team is losing 3-2. The opposing team takes a penalty but you've only got 45 seconds to capitalize on it. Your team has the option to take the powerplay, or take the penalty shot.
I'm not necessarily for this, but I just found it interesting. I don't really find this fair, but I can see the good reasoning behind it.
