Hmm honestly the Islanders are not that great. They thought by aquiring Guerin that it would help them. But he did nothing. Now they think by aquiring Streit it will solve their problems. It wont. Streit had a good season, but he said so himself he wants to focus more on deffencive play than offensive. He will not have another good season like last years that can only be done in montreal!

the do have DiPietro...hes a pretty good goaltender
...but they still have no one in front of him...well maybe streit

yup streit will help then out. But there leading scorer from last year only had 49 points thats not good enough.

I don't think they have what it takes to be any kind of threat, even with Streit. Who won't be a very good addition without a good passer on the other point.

yeah, true VD, i don't think...wait...I know Streit wont make as many points as last year, he's got that amazing point shot...but maybe they'll just feed the puck to him...all the time, and he's gonna be one of the biggest scorers on the leauge!
am I overthinking this or just crazy?

Yeah, Striet may end up thier best player this year(or Comrie) but i still dont think that would make them any better as a team, and also they don't Miroslav Saitan(or however you spell that) anymore who was one of thier better players

Predict last place.
Yeah, agree they lost their offence with the loss of Miroslav Satan but can hope to make it up if DiPietro recovers well from his injury.
