I'm going to take a lot of heat, but I like this trade. Odds are Montreal will be losing Saku Koivu tomorrow. My gut is that he signs in Minnestoa to play with his brother or he is going to sign in Anahiem to play with Selanne. So Gomez will be taking Saku spot on the top line. But will don't know who is his wingers. Fashback. When Scott was playing with the devils they were playing the trap right? He moves on to the Rangers for the money that was no question he can say whatever he wants. But the rangers don't play the trap so he added 50 and 58 points in his 2 first season is New York. Now he comes to Montreal were Martin is going to bring in the trap so in other words he is going to be playing in the same system that he played in New Jeresy. That is why I think that this trade is going to be good for Montreal. But now we need to sit and wait to see what Bob is going to do Tomorrow.

Also in New York he never had any great wingers (except Jagr, but for some reason they didn't click). I'm hoping Gainey can land one of Hossa/Havlat/Gaborik.
A. Kostitsyn - Gomez - Gaborik
What a freaking line that would be.

Camilleri-Gomez-Gionta is looking like a fairly promising first line A.Kost-Plekanec-Sergei.K not a bad second line either maybe even Kovalev instead of Sergei if they re-sign him...you never know, maybe Lang also.
...You know Gainey, you are allowed to re-sign players...
