Anyone see the hit/elbow Cormier did?
He's suspended for the remainder of the season and play-offs for a clear elbow to the head. I'm really disappointed in him, I mean he was the captain of team Canada in the WJCs. For a guy to be the captain of Canada, which is probably the biggest honor you can earn in junior hockey (aside from winning the competition), his actions are very disappointing.

It was viscous and uncalled for. He fully deserved his punishment.

i agree with you. He did it at the world juniors againts Swe. And the hit that he made was he problem coming off the bench after a line change and going straight for the guy.

Did you guys see the other big elbow that happened last week, also in the QMJHL? It was just as filthy. I don't know why this is becoming a new trend in that league, but something needs to be done before somebody gets killed or seriously injured.
Here it is. It's by Marco Scandella, who was also on team Canada with Cormier at this year's WJC:

He broke the guy's visor right off. There's not much you can do, they're already suspending players for it.

Cormier fully deserved the suspension that he got. I couldnt belive that they tried appealing the suspension give me a break. Cormier said I respect the leagues decision even though I find it too harsh are you kidding me??? The idiot came off the bench and he knew exactly what he was doing he went head hunting. There is no place in the game for that kind of garbage at any level of hockey.

Im completely against dirty hits. But it's a contact game...people are gonna get hurt. If it's an elbow or clear boarding the guy should be suspended, and they do that. Like Cormier, the guy's done for the season, doesn't seem like much, but this's guy's career is put on hold for the time being.
I'm glad their enforcing it more strictly in the juniors though. The NHL is one thing, but those guys are more professional. When it's kids, they're less experienced, alot more injury prone.
By the way, Welcome back Razer, glad to see you back.

also if you were the team that got Cormier in a trade and the kid ends up playing 3 games before he gets suspended I would be piss off
