most of the people that go to the Habs home games, go there to get wasted with thier buddys I wouldn't say that. Not most, anyway. Especially at the cost of playoff tickets (even season ones are getting pretty expensive, too). There definitely are some idiots who go there for that, though, but that's in every arena, in every sport. Plus, Montreal will NEVER be as bad as some European soccer cities... *shudders* At least no one gets killed in Montreal. |

One over eager Habs 20+yr old almost 30ish was at his friends house watching the game. He admitted that he was pissed drunk but couldn't pass up the opportunity of getting taken in with the crowd. He wasn't even at the Bell centre.

Yeah, that's definitely going to happen. If everyone else in the city is celebrating, you're going to get in to it. I know I would.
Oh, and apparently, there was a huge celebration after the Habs game on Thursday at the University of Ottawa. That's so awesome.

haha, in ottawa?, well i guess there would be lots of habs fans, just being over an hour away, but im sure they didn't riot...or even party THAT hard, it was probablya 'till 11 pm or midnight thing.

Actually, Ottawa is like 2 and a half hours away from Montreal, but whatever. I have no idea how hard the party was, but apparently there were people running around during the night setting off fireworks, chanting, singing "olay olay olay", and a lot of naked people. All that is actually true, heard it from a Sens fan that goes to that school. |
