I actually think that the schedule I posted has Pacific Time, which means the game would start at 7:30. I'm so confused. Men's hockey starts at 3:00 pm EST. If I'm not mistaken that's the USA vs Switzerland. Canada vs Norway is at 7:30 pm EST I made the same mistake and now I'm at home because of it Wtv. I'm only missing french class

Haha, yeah I figured it out. Did you watch the USA game? I only caught the first period, but I saw that they won 3-1.

Good first, Canada improved as the period went on. Getzlaf had such a great chance at the end of the period there (and then he gave it away). But I agree, Norway has looked pretty good.

Norway is playing great so far. I think Canada is going to have a big second period.

Okay, a stupid question of sorts (with Canada up 2-0).
Uh... I'm watching these games on the NBC family of networks. Now, I don't know which network's airing this in Canada, but are they cutting into the games when they go to break? They're doing this with limited commercial interruption here, and pretty much every game so far has been returning in the middle of gameplay. Which kind of pisses me off.

Nope, CTV is covering everything here and it's been fine so far. That sounds pretty terrible though, why would they even do that?

Nope, CTV is covering everything here and it's been fine so far. That sounds pretty terrible though, why would they even do that? Like I said, they're doing these games with limited commercial interruption. They'll cut to a break during a line change, but when they return, it's the middle of a play and you wait to see if you missed anything. That's not the worst part about this, though. Then you have it where curling ranks higher on the totem pole. We were told that we'd get the game at the top of the eight o'clock hour. Well, they come in a bit later and about two or three minutes were shaved off the clock by the time MSNBC gave way to CNBC. Sidenote: Curling was on CNBC. The start of the Canada game was on MSNBC until curling finished up. Oh, and NBC would rather show ice dancing than a hockey game. They have one game on the main network. Russia and the Czechs.

Yeah. In the regular season, NBC likes to put the same four teams on. (They had three straight weeks of Pittsburgh on for their game of the week before the Olympics.) When it's something like the Olympics, they'll stick it on any of the other networks so their cash cow, which is all of the figure skating, can be on the main network. It's like... Ugh.
Anyway, a nice game for Canada. First shutout in the Olympics since '98.
