In less than two weeks, we'll be seeing the world's best hockey players battle for Gold! The Olympics are just around the corner, so let the discussions begin! Use this thread to discuss rosters, match-ups, etc. Depending on how cluttered this thread gets before the games begin, I'll decide on whether to make a new one or not for the games later. All the Olympic rosters are listed here: www.iihf.com/channels10/olympics-2010/rosters.html

Russia's top two lines and powerplay will be extremely scary. I think Canada has more depth though. Can't wait to see the Shark Line tear it up!

good point VD, but I think that shark line will not stay together

Why would it not? All three of them have been dominant together this year. I expect to see something like this, personally:
Nash-Crosby-Iginla Heatley-Thornton-Marleau Perry-Getzlaf-Staal Morrow-Bergeron-Richards Toews
What do you think?

Heatley ... He still sucks man, don't worry about it. Just sucks seeing your favorite player leave on very bad terms. Then thrive on a new team. I almost feel obliged to hate him. But I don't really have a choice but to cheer for him in the Olympics.

At least you have the consolation that the Senators are doing very well without him, and Michalek has been very good for you guys. Who knows, maybe if he was with still with the Sens, he would be dragging down the team.

Don't want to get into a discussion about that trade, but like VD said...Sens are doing fine without him. Michalek while very inconsistent, has been very good. Cheech hasn't scored much and probably won't get very many for the remainder of his career. At least we only have to put up with him for another season, he's still a hard worker none the less. Eh-Oh-Canada-Go!
