Now tonight should be a good game. Too bad this is going to be premature, though. I sure as hell didn't think that this was going to be a quarterfinal match instead of the gold medal game.

Dear Mike Babcock,
This is a very important game against Russia. Then explain to me why you have a forward with only two minutes and change worth of ice time? I find that choice of yours a bit messed up. I don't quite understand what makes the Canada fans' scapegoat worthy of so little ice time, but I'm sure you have your reasons. Your reasons suck.
Signed, Pissed Off in CT
EDIT: Okay, it's 4:15 (or whatever). How does one even get anything done in that amount of time? That's like saying "we like what you do, but we don't want you to do it a lot. Sit on the bench while the All-Stars on this team do all the work. You can get blamed for everything 'cause of your ice time and the fact that you can't get a single point out there". It's almost disturbing.

I'd be less worried about ice time when Canada's winning. I don't care who's got more ice time as long as the Canadians are ahead in the scoreboard. Seeing as though Canada blew out a team like Russia, I'm not too stressed about who was on the ice more often.

But I'm sure either Sweden or Slovakia will give the team a bit more trouble than Russia tonight (they were just not on their game). If it's a closer game, then I could see ice time being divided up so that those who can protect a one-goal lead would be out there more often. (Or if they were down a goal, the goal scorers would be out.)

But I'm pretty sure the boys can pull off other win.

I thought the "bottom-six" forwards did a great job tonight. Morrow was a beast, he was just hunting for bodies. Richards did some good work on the PK and created some chances, and Toews once again was sensational (that pass on the Nash goal ). Great game by Canada. Let's not downplay who they just dominated here tonight. Keep it up guys!

I'm a little shock how Russia played tonight. I really thought it was going to be a one goal game. I guess I was wrong

Russia didnt look that good because of the way Canada played they wanted it more they work harder they were hungrier for pucks. I strongly believe we can win gold after beating a team like Russia they are highly skilled. Whoever is canada's next opponent look out!! this team has confident, is clicking and can raise their level of intensity when they want too. Great game Canada thats the way they are capable of playing!! Mandoli why are u so concerned about ice time? The ones who are performing will get more ice time its just that simple I assume your talkin about Bergeron? As long is team is winning I wouldnt worry about ice time.

Okay, let me clear this up a bit. I would have thought that maybe the fourth line was going to be manned by four players. You may have guessed that I panic about little things a bit too much (which I shouldn't, but do anyway). I understand that whatever works, works.
With that being said - looks like we've got ourselves another game that's going to be decided in the third. US is going to have themselves a good opponent.
